Chila Burman's website was shown originally inside the Kobi Nazrul Centre and at ELATT, a community computer training centre at the non-tourist end of Hanbury Street. An orignal work in itself, the website was a translation of source material created at workshops with a group of local girls around ideas of identity.
The work explores the phenomenon of current Bollywood hype and fashionability and questions whether that fashion equates to any deeper level of respect for or understanding of Indian cultures.
