the field

the field project

A 13 acre area half of woodland, half grassland, the field is itself an art project and a site for art events.

The aim is to bring together things usually kept separate, including:
art science | thinking doing | artists non-artists | urban rural | us them | human non-human | ecology conservation | participation observation

Participants choose their own level of engagement. The field consists of allotments, an apiary, shelter, water, traditionally planted woodland with some significantly old trees, camping area, green woodworking area

In itself, the field is art
(see alana jelinek's website for more on this)
but for those who are interested in other aspects, like practical conservation or observing human/non-human interactions and biodiversity, please contact
